Maintenance Contribution
Thanks to everyone who could make it to the meeting on Sunday evening last. There was a great turnout with over 30 residents attending. It was agreed that we urgently need to get the estate cleaned up and get it back to looking its best. Peadar Fitzgerald, the developer, is no longer maintaining the common areas so we need to join forces to improve things for ourselves.
We are collecting the nominal sum of €30 to cover costs for the maintenance of the green areas until the end of the year in both Danesfort Drive and Court. Quotes received have put the initial cutting and weeding at €700 and €2,000 for a full year’s maintenance. We are negotiating to get the best price possible to cover until the end of the year.
This money will cover:
- Initial rotary cutting of the grass
- Weeding the planted areas
- Removal of the waste afterwards
- General upkeep
Any surplus cash will be put towards signage and clean-up costs needed for the estates. All monies will be fully accounted for and lodged into the Residents’ Association Bank Account by the Treasurer.
Two members of the Residents’ Association will call to you in the next few days to collect this money.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you too can see the benefits for all this entails. We also hope you can make our general clean-up morning next Saturday 30th July at 10:00.
If you have any queries, or can offer help in any way, please contact our Association Chairperson, John Mannion on 087 6774887.
Cleanup Morning Saturday 30 July

These have been a great success in the past and improve the look of the area markedly.
